Shift PCV/HGV Mechanic/Fitter

Based at our Ecclesfield Depot
Guaranteed 39 hours per week, with potential for overtime

Looking for a hands-on engineering role where your skills keep your community moving?

We’re on the lookout for a skilled and proactive Shift Fitter/Mechanic to join our team at Stagecoach Yorkshire. Whether you’re an experienced PCV Engineer or come from an HGV, LGV, automotive, or plant maintenance background, you could be just who we’re looking for. As part of a dedicated team, you’ll help maintain a modern and varied fleet to the highest safety and performance standards, supported with training and development as vehicle technology continues to evolve.

What you’ll be doing:

Carrying out maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet in line with Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards
Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools
Responding to vehicle issues both in the depot and out on the road
Supporting a safe, efficient, and inclusive working environment

What we’re looking for:

A strong engineering background with a focus on vehicles, PSV, HGV, truck, haulage, plant, rail, automotive, or agricultural
An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant field is desirable, but we’ll also consider strong practical experience
A proactive approach to safety, teamwork, and delivering high standards
