At Happy Valley Nurseries West Bromwich B71 1QS we have the perfect job opportunity waiting for you to join us at our 'Good' rated nursery to create impact within Early Years and shape the lives of the next generation.

Responsibilities:

Observe, assess and plan for each key child's individual learning goals
Plan stimulating and engaging activities in line with childrens next steps
Create a safe and nurturing environment
Work in partnership with parents and outside agencies to ensure children are being fully supported

Skills & Knowledge:

Have a sound and current understanding of the EYFS
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
Exceptional communicational and interpersonal skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office

Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working with young children in an early years setting

Qualifications

Completion of a full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification, e.g. Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development
Completion of Safeguarding Awareness course (desirable)
Paediatric First Aid certificate (within date if qualified post 30th June 2016)

The position is full time working between 35-40 hours per week, Monday – Friday between 8.00am-6.00pm.

We are committed to safeguarding, protecting children, young people and adults. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS and 2 satisfactory references. Due to the nature of the work, we will require an additional criminal records check (or checks if more than one country) for anyone who has lived or worked abroad.
