Full job description

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, professional and reliable Night Receptionist to join our Front Office team.

Working mainly during the night, you will be responsible for providing excellent guest service while supporting the smooth and secure operation of the hotel. You will work independently, handle a variety of Front Office duties and assist other departments where required.

Key responsibilities

Welcome guests and complete check-in and check-out procedures.
Handle guest enquiries, requests, reservations.
Manage guest accounts.
Complete hotel accounting and end of day procedures.
Carry out regular hotel security checks and respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies.
Assist guests with luggage and other requests.
Undertake driving duties when required as part of the hotel’s guest service operations.
Prepare and deliver room service meal, as well as breakfast set up.
Work closely with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Reservations, Security and Management.
Monitor room availability and create any last-minute reservations.
Maintain accurate records and ensure guest confidentiality.
Promote hotel facilities, services and loyalty programmes.
Maintain clean, tidy and professional Front Office and public areas.
Support the Duty Manager and wider hotel team as required.
Follow all hotel, health & safety, fire and security procedures.
Carry out other reasonable duties required to support the smooth running of the hotel.

About you

Previous hotel or Front Office experience is desirable.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Professional, friendly and confident when dealing with guests.
Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good computer skills and attention to detail.
Reliable, flexible and adapatable.
Available for nightshifts during the week and at weekends.
A full UK driving licence is desirable.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
