Pay Rate: £40,000 to £42,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Grade: L
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday to Thursday, 39 Hours per week, 07:00AM to 15:30PM & Friday 07:00AM to 14:30PM

We're now looking for a Transport Planning Manager!
In this pivotal role, you will lead our dynamic team to achieve excellence and drive success throughout our transport network. Join us and be a key player in shaping the future of logistics!
✅WHAT YOU'LL DO
Take the Lead: Oversee our daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to our customers.
Responsible for leading the planning and coordination of all inbound, outbound and inter-site transport activities across the Aston Martin contract, ensuring the safe, cost-effective and efficient movement of materials and finished goods.
The role is accountable for delivering transport operations in line with customer requirements, production schedules and service level agreements, whilst driving continuous improvement, maintaining compliance, managing carrier performance, and leading a team to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction
Manage relationships with transport providers and carriers, monitoring performance against agreed KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead, coach and develop the Transport Planning team, promoting a high-performance culture and ensuring appropriate succession planning.
Work collaboratively with Customer, Warehouse, Manufacturing, Inventory and Operations teams to proactively manage transport risks and support business objectives.

✅WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Proven planning experience within the automotive supply chain sector.

Strong IT proficiency, including advanced use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Demonstrated experience in carrier management and logistics coordination.

Excellent data analysis and reporting capabilities, with experience using Power BI and other analytical tools.

Previous leadership experience in a Planning Manager/Planning Leader role, with responsibility for driving operational performance and team success.
