About The Right Broker

The Right Broker was founded in 2015, we are a family owned business based in Knowle, Solihull. We advise on all areas of Financial Services. Our brokers are nationally based, fully qualified and have years of experience in financial services.

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have proven experience assisting running an Appointed Representative firm. They will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s day-to-day operations, driving operational excellence, and supporting the delivery of our strategic and commercial objectives.

This is a hybrid position, with the successful candidate required to work from our Head Office in Knowle, Solihull, three days per week. Applicants should therefore live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.

Requirements of an Operations Manager

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role running an Appointed Representative Firm
A functional knowledge of lending and insurance products offered by the Appointed Representative
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and work to tight deadlines
A good understanding of Compliance requirements and the ability to coach these requirements.
Coaching and mentoring and people management skills, both for staff and brokers
The ability to analyse information with a view to making informed decisions
Competent on Microsoft office suite i.e. excel, word etc.

Responsibilities of an Operations Manager

To Oversee and run the day-to-day operations of the Appointed Representative Firm
Oversight of all non-Director employees of the Appointed Representative Firm, including self-employed financial advisers
Liaison with the network on recruitment, compliance and operational matters pertaining to the Appointed Representative
To oversee the training and development programme for Advisers
To oversee the Commission payments for the firm, in conjunction with the network
Managing the membership of the firm, including joiners, leavers and changes to permissions
Ensure the smooth running of administration services for the Appointed Representative
Assisting in the Marketing of the firm, its service and brokers, including handling Financial Promotions approvals with the Network

Salary of an Operations Manager

£30,000–£35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
Performance-related bonus scheme, with on target earnings of £45,000.

Working hours of an Operations Manager

Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00
This is a hybrid position, with the successful candidate required to work from our Head Office in Knowle, Solihull, three days per week. Applicants should therefore live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.
