Full job description

Administrator – Administration & Customer Service

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Contract: Temporary Assignment (17 August 2026 – 31 December 2026, potential temp-to-perm)
Location: Veolia – Northern Compound Land, EX2 8NJ, United Kingdom
Work Pattern: Monday – Friday

About the Role

Seeking an Administrator to provide essential support across administration and customer service functions. This role involves handling purchase orders, customer queries, and data entry, whilst ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards and company procedures.

Key Duties

Raising and receipting purchase orders and maintaining accurate records
Answering inbound calls politely and professionally, logging details in Salesforce
Building strong relationships with internal and external customers
Supporting credit control by resolving outstanding debt queries
Managing driver debrief processes and recording actions in Salesforce
Ensuring all work complies with Health & Safety policies and legislation
Assisting the Administration Coordinator with ad hoc projects and training requirements
Undertaking filing, data entry, and general administrative tasks

Skills & Qualifications

Numerate and PC literate with strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Good telephone manner and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment
Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
Experience in customer service or administration roles
Familiarity with accounting or purchasing systems is desirable

Interfaces

Internal: Administration Coordinator, Customer Experience Team, Service Manager, Service Coordinators, Drivers, Workshop Manager, Fitters, National Accounts staff, Head Office staff, Sales Team
External: Customers, Suppliers, Statutory Authorities (e.g., HSE inspectors, Police), Members of the Public
