Full job description

Are you an experienced catering professional with supervisory experience and a passion for delivering high-quality patient and retail catering services?

NHS Fife is looking for a motivated Catering Supervisor to support the day-to-day operation of the Catering Service at Cameron Hospital.

Working closely with the Catering Manager, you will provide frontline leadership to catering team, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-focused food services are delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily catering operations and support staff performance.
Coordinate staffing, rotas, annual leave, and absence cover.
Ensure compliance with food hygiene, HACCP, infection prevention, and NHS standards.
Support staff induction, training, and development.
Monitor food quality, service delivery, and patient satisfaction.
Liaise with clinical teams regarding dietary requirements and specialist diets.
Assist with stock control, ordering, and resource management.
Promote safe working practices and maintain a clean, organised working environment.

Essential Requirements

Supervisory experience within catering, hospitality, healthcare, or food service.
Knowledge of Food Hygiene and HACCP principles.
Experience managing staff and allocating workloads.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise competing demands.
Competent IT skills.
