Full job description

Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative

Do you have forklift experience and are you available to start at short notice?

We are looking for an experienced Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our busy in-house warehouse team.

This is a hands-on role within a small, friendly team, with a good mix of forklift driving and general warehouse duties. We are looking for someone reliable, hardworking and organised who takes pride in doing a job well.

This is an ongoing position with the opportunity for long-term employment for the right person.

Duties

Working as part of our warehouse team, your duties will include:

Operating a counterbalance forklift on a day-to-day basis
Booking goods in and checking deliveries
Moving and storing goods in the correct locations
Maintaining accurate stock records
Picking and packing customer orders
Loading and unloading goods
Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
Carrying out general warehouse duties as required
Some manual lifting, so a good level of physical fitness is required

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has a valid forklift licence or relevant in-house forklift training
Has previous warehouse and/or forklift experience
Is reliable, punctual and hardworking
Has a positive attitude and a willingness to get stuck in
Is comfortable working as part of a small team
Has good attention to detail and understands the importance of accurate stock control
Takes pride in their work and maintains a safe and tidy working environment
Is available to start at short notice

In-house forklift training will be considered for candidates with suitable warehouse experience.
