Full job description

Head Chef

Ipswich

Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: 40000
Hours: 40 per week

A day and boarding co-educational school for pupils from nursery to Sixth form in Ipswich, Suffolk. Catering for 450 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, lunch, supper, internal and external hospitality. This is a 52 weeks a year operations and operates 7 days a week so working patterns are 5 out of 7 days. Additional benefit to this location is free parking on site.

We are looking for a talented Head Chef to join our team at one of our prestigious locations in Ipswich.

If you are a current Head chef or Sous Chef working with fresh ingredients and in a fast paced environment then please apply today.

You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.

Key responsibilities:

To work well in a team, providing breakfast, lunch & hospitality.
To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards
Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
Excellent customer service skills
Great team player

You will have the following skills:

Innovation and passion for great food
An organised person with attention to detail

Knowledge / competencies:

Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
