Full job description

Applications are invited for the post of Patient Services Advisor.

PLEASE NOTE THIS POST IS FOR MATERNITY COVER UNTIL END OF JUNE 2027

Ideally we are looking for candidates with relevant experience in a GP Practice preferably but not essential. The successful applicant will have excellent communication and organisational skills, a good working knowledge of GP computer software programs.

You will be required to cover a range of duties within a friendly, busy Practice. We have 7 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GP's, 5 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 4 Practice Nurses and a Clinical Support Worker who are all supported by our experienced Patient Services Advisors and Administration Teams. Duties will include reception cover, covering busy phone lines, making and cancelling appointments, processing prescription requests and data entries and other general office tasks.

We generally operate a rotational shift pattern between 08:00 and 18:00. This job is for maternity cover until end of June 2027. The contracted hours are 22.5 per week, scheduled across Wednesday to Friday, although there may be flexibility to increase hours if desired.

Excellent conditions, including pension scheme and 20 days’ annual leave and 10 public holidays (FTE) per annum pro rata. Monthly paid in house practice lunches, paid whole practice social and team-building events / lunches.
