Job Summary

Are you eager to kickstart a career in the sheet metal industry? As a Trainee Sheet Metal Worker, you will embark on an exciting journey to develop essential skills in fabrication, assembly, and metalworking techniques. Duties

Assist with the fabrication of sheet metal components using hand tools and basic tooling equipment
Support welding and grinding tasks under supervision to develop precision and technique
Learn to measure, cut, and assemble sheet metal parts accurately using basic math skills
Help with the maintenance and organization of tools, materials, and workspace for efficient workflow
Participate in safety procedures and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
Observe and assist in the use of mechanical knowledge for assembly and installation tasks
Follow instructions from senior team members to ensure adherence to project specifications

Requirements

A strong interest in metalworking, fabrication, or mechanical trades with a desire to learn new skills
Basic understanding of math concepts relevant to measurement and assembly tasks
Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively with close supervision
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail for precise work
Willingness to participate actively in training sessions and on-the-job learning opportunities
Mechanical curiosity with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and skill development
No prior experience necessary; training will be provided for all technical tasks
