Full job description

Sales & Office Administrator

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm (Can be flexible)
Location: Wickford, Essex

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Sales & Office Administrator to join our growing team.

You will be dealing with customers, deliveries, and ongoing orders daily, so the ability to stay organised and work under pressure is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Handling customer enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email
Preparing quotes and processing orders
Following up quotes and converting enquiries into sales
Upselling products where appropriate
Organizing and scheduling deliveries
Assisting with general office administration
Managing correspondence and customer records
Supporting the day-to-day running of the office
Assisting with social media where required

What We’re Looking For

Confident dealing with customers and handling enquiries
Able to work independently and take initiative
Comfortable in a busy, sometimes high-pressure environment
Strong problem-solving skills (e.g. delivery issues, stock queries)
Good organization and time management
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficient with computers (Google Drive, email, etc.)

Essential Requirement

Knowledge of fencing, landscaping, or building materials
Understanding of physical products, measurements, and materials (e.g. fence panels, posts, gravel boards)
