Position: Analyst Programmer (Interim (Day Rate))

Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, support, and maintain ICT business systems, applications, integrations, data solutions, and management reporting within an Agile environment
- Work as part of the Data Engineering team to support the delivery of critical projects and increase internal delivery capacity
- Take development tasks from the DevOps board, understand the customer requirements, and clarify requirements with customers and the wider team where necessary
- Design and build reliable and efficient ETL processes and data flows using appropriate development tools and standards
- Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain ETL solutions, resolving issues identified during internal or customer testing
- Use advanced Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL skills to develop effective database solutions
- Develop and maintain stored procedures, optimise queries, and analyse and understand SQL Server query execution plans to improve performance
- Develop and maintain ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Apply data warehousing best practices and appropriate data models and database designs
- Support the development and maintenance of business and customer-facing applications, solutions, integrations, and reporting systems
- Take responsibility across the application development lifecycle, including investigation, analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, support, and maintenance
- Evaluate technical options, carry out impact analysis, and recommend suitable technical solutions in line with ICT architecture and strategy
- Deliver well-engineered, standards-based solutions that are fit for purpose, reliable, efficient, secure, maintainable, and cost-effective
- Ensure development work follows agreed methodologies, standards, tools, and documentation requirements

- Support business users during the analysis stage of the software lifecycle and provide post-training and user support where required
- Contribute to project and quality plans, cost-benefit analysis, risk analysis, and other project documentation
- Take ownership of the organisation, documentation, and delivery of small-scale projects, including monitoring progress and providing accurate updates to management and customers
- Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks and contribute effectively to team planning, development, testing, and delivery activities
- Support change management by analysing business processes, identifying improvements, and helping implement appropriate changes

Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification, or equivalent experience, in an ICT-related discipline
Knowledge and Experience
- Significant proven experience working in a development environment in a similar role
- Strong experience using development tools, application development methods, techniques, and standards
- Advanced and proven experience with:
