Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The ideal applicant will have a passion for food, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to food safety standards.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
Assist in meal preparation during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and utensils
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
Monitor ingredient stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment
Support the team in maintaining a positive and efficient working environment

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a kitchen assistant within a restaurant setting
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation
Previous experience in a culinary role or restaurant environment is highly desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and hygiene
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends and evenings if necessary
