Full job description

The Oaks Hotel is a small hotel located just outside Alnwick Town Centre. We have 13 guest bedrooms, a Bar, a Restaurant, Small Function Room & Outdoor Area. We are known for our fresh, home cooked food from a modern, casual menu.

We are seeking a talented, motivated and passionate Head Chef to lead our Kitchen Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on chef who leads by example and takes pride in delivering exceptional food and maintaining high standards.

The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

Take full responsibility for the day to day running of the kitchen and it's team.

Create and develop seasonal menus that focus on quality and freshness.

Manage Kitchen budgets, stock control, stock takes and ordering.

Manage staff rotas.

Deliver staff training and support the development of staff.

Implement and maintain cleaning schedules, ensuring the kitchen remain clean and always organised.

Ensure consistency with food quality and service.

About you:

Have previous experience in a Head Chef or Kitchen Management role.

Be a hands-on leader who motivates and leads by example.

Be passionate, enthusiastic and committed to delivering great food.

Have excellent communication and leadership skills.

Possess a strong knowledge or food safety and hygiene.

Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and professionalism.

Be able to work efficiently under pressure.

Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
