About the Role

Transform Confidence Daily – Join as a Beauty Therapist and Make Every Client Glow!

Location: SUPERDRUG STORES PLC, UNIT K1, BEDFORD INTERCHANGE RETAIL PARK, BEDFORD, MK42 7AZ
Hours: 30 hours per week - This role operates on a structured rota, including weekends.

Sunday working:
You will work every other Sunday (11:00am – 5:00pm) on a rotational basis, alternating with the existing therapist.
Week commencing with a working Sunday:
In weeks where you are scheduled to work Sunday, your working days will be:
Friday & Saturday – shifts will be either 9:00am – 3:00pm or 12:00pm – 6:00pm (you must be flexible to work both shift patterns to support opening and closing requirements)
Weekday hours:
Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 11:00am – 5:00pm
Flexibility is essential, as shift patterns may vary slightly to meet business needs.

Salary: £13.85 per hour

In this role, you will provide expert beauty treatments and professional advice to our customers, ensuring they enjoy the best possible in-store experience. We’re also extremely proud to work with some of the most trusted and professional beauty brands in the industry, like Beauty by Ellie, Mylee, Studex, & Lash Perfect, all helping us to deliver the very best professional service to our customers!

Services include:

Threading, Tinting, Facial & Brow waxing, Lash Lifts, Cluster Lash extensions, Piercing and Nails (manicure, pedicure, gels, acrylics, body waxing and spray tanning)

We offer in-house professional training in Threading, Tinting, Waxing, Piercing & Lash extensions.

Hold a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy or an equivalent qualification.

2. Telephone Screening

Our Talent Team will review your application, and if you meet the role's requirements, they will contact you to arrange a 20-minute telephone screening. This conversation will help us learn more about you and your experience.

If you successfully pass the telephone screening, you will be invited to a face-to-face interview with the Store Manager or Beauty Studio Manager. The interview will be held in-store and will involve a detailed discussion about your experience and expertise in Beauty or Hair.

4. Trade Test

We want to see you do what you do best! At your face-to-face interview, you will also be asked to complete a Trade Test so we can assess your practical skills and client interaction. This could be a nail, brow or hair treatment – dependant on what role you have applied for. The Talent Team will talk you through this when scheduling so you know exactly what to expect, Please note, to ensure the Trade Test runs smoothly, we ask that you bring along a friend/family member who can act as your model for this assessment.
