Job Purpose

Working as an Optical Assistant at Eyecare Oncall will give you the unique opportunity to offer a much needed service to the elderly and those who are often forgotten.

Job Description

Conduct pretests for patients and support the optometrist in clinic
Dispense glasses with the level of care you would expect for yourself
Deliver and fit glasses with precision to change someone's quality of life.
Maintain accurate patient records for continuity of care
Provide outstanding customer service so that they remember you
Repair glasses with skill and care

Ideal Candidate Profile

Previous experience in a care home setting is a plus
At least 3 years of optical experience required
GCSEs in Math and English or equivalent
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Enthusiastic and proactive attitude
Full driving license (enjoy a fully expensed company car for business and personal use)
Availability from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility for travel
Experience in Hear Care would be an interest to us.
