Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor green spaces, ensuring they are healthy, attractive, and well-kept. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, applying horticultural knowledge and gardening skills to create beautiful landscapes. The successful applicant will have a keen interest in landscape maintenance and enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Planting, watering, fertilising, and pruning trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns to promote healthy growth.
Using hand tools such as spades, rakes, shears, and hoes for planting and maintenance tasks.
Operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers safely and efficiently.
Assisting with landscape design projects by preparing soil beds and laying mulch or gravel.
Maintaining cleanliness of the work area by removing debris and trimming overgrown foliage.
Supporting seasonal planting schedules and garden renovation projects.

Skills

Proven experience in gardening or horticulture with a strong understanding of plant care principles.
Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools used in landscape maintenance.
Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and upkeep.
Ability to recognise different plant species and diagnose common issues affecting growth.
Good organisational skills with the ability to plan daily tasks effectively.
Physical fitness to perform outdoor labour including digging, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
A genuine interest in gardening, landscape aesthetics, and environmental sustainability.
