The Role
As a Self-Employed Massage Therapist, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of massage therapy and delivering an excellent experience for every client.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing professional massage treatments to clients.
- Carrying out appropriate client consultations before treatments.
- Understanding clients' requirements and adapting treatments accordingly.
- Maintaining a professional, welcoming and friendly manner.
- Ensuring treatment rooms and equipment are clean, tidy and ready for clients.
- Maintaining appropriate hygiene and professional standards.
- Managing your availability and appointments in line with the business booking system.
- Building positive relationships with clients and encouraging repeat bookings.
- Following the business's health, safety and operational procedures.
- Maintaining appropriate professional qualifications, insurance and any required certifications.

- Qualified and experienced in massage therapy.
- Professional, friendly and confident with clients.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Able to work independently as a self-employed therapist.
- Well presented and professional.
- Comfortable working flexible hours, including some evenings and/or weekends where required.
- Ideally experienced in a range of massage treatments.
Flexible Working
We understand that many therapists have other commitments.
We therefore offer flexible part-time hours, allowing you to choose your availability by agreement with the business.
There may also be opportunities to increase your hours as the client base grows.

Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold an appropriate recognised massage therapy qualification.
- Have valid professional treatment/liability insurance.
- Be able to provide evidence of relevant qualifications and insurance.
- Maintain appropriate professional and hygiene standards.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Be responsible for their own tax and National Insurance obligations as a self-employed contractor.
