We are now recruiting full or part time staff preferably with pharmacy experience, NHS experience or retail experience. This is a great opportunity for some one to join our team and further their opportunities.
As part of the local needs our pharmacy offers a number of services to patients including NMS, Flu and Covid vaccinations, Pharmacy first minor illness , urgent supply, GP referrals, DMS other new services have been applied for. You will actively be involved in supporting Pharmacist provide these services.
Job description
We are looking for a Pharmacy Dispenser, Technician/ Checker to support our Pharmacy. We prefer some one with experience but may consider giving training to the right individual.
The job role depending upon your qualifications includes:
- taking in and handing out prescriptions
- dispensing prescriptions
- using computer systems to generate stock lists and labels
- ordering items
- receiving, loading, unloading deliveries
- selling over-the-counter medicines
- answering customers questions face to face or by phone
- pre-packing blisters, assembling and labelling medicines
- preparing medicines
- referring problems or queries to the pharmacist
- Promoting NHS services
- Accuracy Checking
You will be required to support the Pharmacy team to provide NHS services .
Key Skills and Characteristics required :
It would be an advantage if you have worked in a customer service role

- able to pay attention to detail
- able to understand law and guidelines on medicines
- able to read and carry out instruction
- to be interested in people’s health
- able to explain clearly to members of the public
Excellent communication, customer service, IT and manual skills are required.
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week to full time
