Full training apprenticeship will be provided for any successful trainee candidate.
Apprenticeship wage £12.96. Increase applied on qualifying, post qualifications and role.
Working Pattern: The fixed hours will be 31.75 hours worked Tuesday 08.15-18.00, Wednesday & Thursday 08.15-17.15, Friday 08.00-16.15
Key Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available
- Keep the clinical areas, equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instruction
- Use our mouth scanner to ensure our patients are given the best experience and record these in patient notes
- Prepare the necessary materials and instruments
- Meet and greet patients with a friendly and professional manner
- Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed on SOE Exact
- Continually interpret the needs of the patients and dentist and deal with them promptly and efficiently.
- Work within our Front of House team to provide excellent customer service
- Take all reasonable methods to ensure patient comfort
- Follow all practice policies and procedures.
- Observe patient confidentiality at all times
- Ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgery
- Liaise with reception to ensure smooth patient communications and transfer of records
- Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice – Reception cover when required
- Undergo training as may be required to develop your skills and abilities
- Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR decontamination and radiology
- Act in accordance with the practice rules and code of conduct
- Work at other practice locations from time to time as required
- Maintain GDC registration
- To maintain and increase competence in nursing skills by actively following a programme of continuing professional development.
