Overview:
Conducts statistical and data analyses to support reports, publications, and business decisions. Applies advanced statistical programming and biostatistical methods using tools such as R, Python, or SAS. Interprets data to generate actionable insights, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic planning. Identifies trends and innovative findings to inform solution design and product development. Collaborates with teams and stakeholders to translate complex datasets into clear recommendations. Ensures data quality, accuracy, and compliance across all reporting processes.

Job Description:
As a Data Analyst , the role is central to the collection, interpretation, and transformation of data into actionable insights that drive strategic and operational decisions. It involves working across the full analytics lifecycle – from data acquisition and cleansing to modelling, visualisation, and reporting – with a strong focus on statistical analysis, business intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct statistical analyses and build data models to support reports, publications, and decision-making.
Perform advanced programming and quantitative analysis using tools such as Python, R, or SAS.
Interpret and present data insights through visual dashboards, performance reports, and stakeholder briefings.
Identify trends, correlations, and patterns that inform product development, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with business teams to translate complex datasets into practical, actionable recommendations.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance in collection, processing, storage, and reporting.
Create automated reporting solutions and maintain dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Support data-driven forecasting, KPI measurement, and performance tracking.
Contribute to problem-solving initiatives by applying statistical reasoning and analytical thinking.
Document analytical processes and support user adoption through clear communication and knowledge sharing.

Required Technologies and Tools:

Python, R, or SAS (for statistical programming and modelling)
SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
BI/Data Visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, macros if applicable)
Data cleaning and ETL processes
Optional: Experience with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) or cloud analytics tools

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field
5+years’ experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role
Proven ability to interpret, model, and present data insights to technical and non-technical audiences
Experience in applying data insights to drive business improvement, product development, or operational efficiency
