Overview
Are you a passionate dog groomer looking for the freedom to manage your own schedule while working in a luxurious, established salon? Sinclair’s Dog Salon & Spa in Stalham, Norfolk, is seeking a talented self-employed dog groomer to join our vibrant team on a rent-a-table basis.

As a Dog Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry clients while providing exceptional grooming services. Your expertise will help maintain the appearance and hygiene of pets, making them look and feel their best. If you have a love for animals and a commitment to outstanding customer service, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards and owner preferences.
Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming options, care tips, and any concerns regarding their pets.
Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by regularly sanitising tools and equipment.
Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
Lift and manage large or heavy pets as required during grooming sessions.
Keep accurate records of services provided and any observations made during grooming sessions.

Skills

Minimum of a Level 3 Dog Grooming qualification plus at least 1 years experience in a salon.
Good time management and the ability to self manage.
Confident managing your own schedule and handling clients independently.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with pet owners.
Experience in heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple animals.
Knowledge of veterinary care practices is advantageous for recognising health issues in pets.
A genuine passion for animal care, demonstrating empathy and patience when working with various temperaments of pets.
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information to pet owners regarding their pet's grooming needs.
