Overview
We are seeking a skilled or semi-skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding various metal components, primarily using MIG welding techniques. Duties
- Perform MIG welding on a variety of materials, including sheet metal and fabricated components, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with fabrication processes, including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts
- Use basic maths skills to measure and mark materials accurately for cutting and welding
- Conduct quality checks on welded components to ensure they meet safety and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and project deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience in MIG welding;
- Knowledge of welding standards and practices
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to metalworking processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Position Summary:
Skilled or Semi MIG Welder for an immediate start, 4 day working week.
Scot Seat are market leaders in manufcature of seating for automotive, marine, blue-light and military industries. Our newly built factory houses metal work, joinery, powder coating, cutting, sewing, upholstery and assembly. Shipping seats throughout the world.
4 day working week Mon-Thu 7:30-5PM.
Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
