Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Pipe Layer / Groundworker and play a vital role in laying the foundation for essential infrastructure projects. This energetic position involves working outdoors in various environments, utilizing your technical skills and mechanical knowledge to install, maintain, and repair underground piping systems. Duties

Excavate trenches and prepare sites for pipe installation using hand tools, power tools, and excavators
Lay, align, and secure underground pipes according to project specifications and safety standards
Operate machinery such as excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
Weld pipe sections or fittings where necessary to ensure secure connections
Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during installation or repairs
Assist with electrical wiring or connections related to piping systems when required
Conduct routine inspections of installed piping for leaks, alignment, or damage during project progress

Requirements

Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy machinery on construction sites
Skilled in welding techniques with the ability to join pipes securely
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and their safe operation in a construction environment
Mechanical knowledge related to piping systems, fittings, and installation procedures
Electrical experience or understanding of electrical components associated with underground systems is a plus
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills and attention to detail
