North Tyneside Council’s Sport and Leisure service currently operates five indoor leisure sites across the borough which attracts around one and a half million visitors a year.

The facilities include four swimming pools and five multi-functional fitness suites, in additional some leisure facilities have a sports hall, dance studios and outdoor pitches. The Contours membership for customers includes access to the gym, pool and exercise classes across the leisure sites.

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our high performing team. We are looking to recruit a part-time permanent Admin Assistant for the Contours membership team based at the head office at the Killingworth site in North Tyneside. The role is for 22.5 hours over 3 days.

The main duties of this post are dealing with all the admin tasks associated with processing the Contours membership. This service is to provide financial and admin support within Sport & Leisure, including the responsibility of the financial records for Contours memberships, arranging payment plans for debt recovery, admin support for over 10,000 customers accounts, keeping accurate and up to date records and dealing with customer enquires relating to their membership.

The job includes ensuring customer interactions are maintained for example, the handling of sensitive information about financial circumstances as well as the customers personal health and wellbeing. Making decisions upon customers circumstances and acting on their best interests whilst adhering to financial regulations. This requires someone who pays attention to detail and experince in working with IT systems to ensure records are maintained.
