Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Card Body Repair and Painting Technician to join our team. This role involves restoring and refinishing vehicle bodies, ensuring high-quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive repair processes, including bodywork and painting techniques, with a focus on precision and safety. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive aesthetics and repair to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Repairing vehicle body damage using specialised tools and techniques, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic quality.
Preparing surfaces for painting by sanding, filling, and masking to achieve smooth finishes.
Applying paint, primers, and coatings with attention to colour matching and finish consistency.
Utilising hand tools such as hammers, dollies, and chisels for bodywork repairs.
Operating power tools including sanders, grinders, and spray guns safely and effectively.
Conducting heavy lifting of vehicle panels or parts as required during repair processes.
Maintaining a clean and organised workspace to adhere to safety standards and optimise workflow.
Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality standards before returning vehicles to clients.

Experience

Previous experience in automotive body repair or painting is highly desirable.
Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle structures and repair techniques is advantageous.
Familiarity with the use of hand tools such as hammers, dollies, and chisels.
Proficiency in operating power tools used in bodywork and painting tasks.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, with physical strength suited to handling vehicle panels or equipment.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to chemical handling, painting environments, and tool operation is preferred.

This role requires a dedicated professional committed to delivering high-quality repairs while maintaining safety standards throughout the process. Candidates should be organised, detail-focused, and capable of working efficiently within a team environment.

Pay: £100.00-£200.00 per day
