Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter and Decorator to bring spaces to life through expert painting and decorating techniques. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming interiors and exteriors of buildings, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. Your attention to detail, craftsmanship, and ability to work efficiently will contribute to creating beautiful, durable environments. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in construction painting and decoration while working in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of paint and finishes
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative coatings with precision and care
Follow project specifications and safety guidelines to deliver high-quality results on time
Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors to coordinate work schedules and clarify project requirements
Maintain a clean work area by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly
Inspect completed work for quality assurance, making touch-ups or corrections as needed
Operate driving vehicles or equipment required for transporting materials or accessing job sites

Skills

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating techniques
Strong communication skills in English for clear instructions and client interactions
Valid driving license with the ability to operate relevant vehicles safely
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to painting and decorating work
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
Good physical stamina for standing, climbing ladders, and handling tools over extended periods

Pay: £14.47-£20.00 per hour
