As Senior Business Planning & Analysis Manager, Finance, you will act as a trusted finance partner to a Therapeutic Area Team, helping them, through your insights and analytics, to make better decisions. This is a strong opportunity for a high-potential finance professional who enjoys solving complex problems with a bold vision, building trusted relationships, and translating financial analysis into impactful business decisions. You will join a supportive team where you can learn the Novartis business, grow your impact, and contribute to decisions that help shape performance across a key part of our organization.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with Therapeutic Area leaders to support strategic planning, investment decisions, and portfolio performance.
Deliver clear financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support timely business decision-making.
Translate complex financial data into practical insights, recommendations, and business storytelling.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes with accuracy, structure, and commercial understanding.
Identify risks, opportunities, and performance trends, recommending actions to improve business outcomes.
Build trusted relationships across Finance, Marketing, Brand, Market Access, and cross-functional teams.
Contribute to process improvements, financial tracking, and proactive performance management across the business.
Champion digital innovation within the Finance function, including the effective use of AI-enabled tools.

Essential Requirements

Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Strong financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytical capability.
Ability to interpret financial data and convert it into clear, actionable business recommendations.
Strong learning agility, curiosity, and ability to quickly understand new business environments.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build rapport beyond the immediate function.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to tell a clear story through financial insights.
Confidence working with data, financial models, presentations, and performance analysis.
Ability to work independently, take ownership, and operate effectively in a cross-functional environment.

Desirable Requirements

Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, or another complex commercial environment.
Professional finance qualification or postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.

The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
