Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Freelance Chef to join our culinary team. This role offers flexible working arrangements, allowing you to showcase your culinary expertise across various settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, kitchen management, and hospitality, with a passion for creating exceptional dishes. As a Freelance Chef, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food services, supervising kitchen staff when necessary, and ensuring all food safety standards are met. This position provides an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals to expand their portfolio while maintaining independence in their work.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to client specifications and established recipes
Oversee food production processes to ensure quality and consistency
Manage kitchen operations including supervising staff and coordinating food service activities
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene
Lead food presentation and garnishing to enhance visual appeal
Assist with menu planning and ingredient sourcing as required
Maintain organised workstations and ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
Provide excellent customer service by serving dishes efficiently and professionally
Collaborate with clients to tailor menus to dietary requirements or preferences
Manage time effectively to meet deadlines for multiple projects

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
Supervising experience within a culinary environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality settings
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation
Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse culinary environments
Experience in food production, restaurant operations, or catering services
