Job Opportunity: Sales Assistant at Trespass in Barnstaple

Are you passionate about outdoor gear and providing exceptional customer service? Trespass, a leading outdoor clothing and equipment retailer, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team in Barnstaple.

Contracted Hours – 4 (Up to 6 hours per week)

Please Note – This position will be predominantly involve working Sunday during the stores trading hours on 10:00 – 16:00 with the potential for extra hours covering sickness and Annual Leave.

Role Overview: As a Sales Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers. Your friendly demeanour, product knowledge, and commitment to excellent service will contribute to our store’s success.

Responsibilities:

Customer Assistance: Greet and assist customers, helping them find the perfect outdoor gear for their needs.
Product Knowledge: Learn about our range of products, including clothing, footwear, and accessories, to provide accurate information to customers.
Sales Support: Work closely with the Store Manager to set up displays, maintain stock levels, and ensure the store is well-organised.
Cash Handling: Operate the till, process transactions, and handle cash securely.
Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean and tidy, including restocking shelves and organising merchandise.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements:

Previous retail experience is preferred but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Enthusiasm for outdoor activities and a willingness to learn about outdoor gear.
Flexibility to work weekends and occasional midweek shifts.
