Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional 3.5t Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution services. The position is ideal for individuals with previous delivery experience and a strong commitment to safety and punctuality.

Duties

Safely operate a 3.5-tonne van to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres across designated routes
Load and unload items, including heavy or bulky products, with proper handling techniques
Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, maintaining high standards of customer service
Conduct daily vehicle checks, including inspecting tyres, lights, and load security before each shift
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and update logs as required
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes
Adhere strictly to road safety regulations and company policies at all times
Assist with warehouse duties when necessary, including organising stock and preparing goods for dispatch

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within a commercial or logistics environment
Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Experience in commercial driving, demonstrating safe driving practices over extended periods
Knowledge of warehouse operations and goods handling procedures
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when loading or unloading items
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and customers
Organised with strong time-management skills to meet tight schedules
Physically fit to handle manual tasks such as lifting and standing for prolonged periods

This role requires a dedicated individual capable of managing multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining high safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and previous experience in similar roles.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
