About the role
As a Rapid Delivery Partnerships Manager, you'll play a central role in driving the performance, growth and evolution of Tesco's rapid delivery channel. Working with some of the world's largest delivery platforms, you'll be responsible for developing strategic partnerships, delivering commercial growth, influencing key business decisions and helping shape the future of rapid delivery at Tesco.
This role sits at the intersection of partnerships, trading, marketing, customer proposition, operations, technology and commercial strategy, offering broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to work on one of Tesco's most exciting growth areas.
Following the recent announcement of Tesco's landmark partnerships with Uber Eats and Deliveroo, we're entering a new phase of growth in rapid delivery. Building on the success of Whoosh, one of the UK's leading rapid delivery businesses, these partnerships will extend Tesco's reach to millions of customers while creating significant opportunities for customer acquisition, innovation and long-term growth.

You will be responsible for

Owning the commercial performance, growth and development of Tesco's rapid delivery partnerships, with accountability for partner P&L delivery.

Building and managing strategic relationships with Uber Eats, Deliveroo and future rapid delivery partners.

Delivering agreed sales, profit and growth targets across the rapid delivery channel.

Developing and executing joint business plans that drive performance, customer growth and long-term value.

Leading pricing, promotional and media strategies, including partner-funded investment and sponsored listings.

Monitoring partner, customer and market performance to identify opportunities, mitigate risks and optimise trading outcomes.

Conducting regular business reviews with partners and representing the rapid delivery channel across key internal stakeholder forums.

Working cross-functionally with Trading, Marketing, Operations, Product and Technology teams to deliver new launches, proposition enhancements and operational improvements.

Monitoring end-to-end operational performance and collaborating with Online Operations teams to resolve issues and unlock growth opportunities.

Using data and insight to drive decision-making, improve customer experience and maximise channel performance.

Contributing to the future strategy, innovation and development of Tesco's rapid delivery business.

Experience in a commercial, partnerships, account management, digital, e-commerce or retail environment, with a track record of managing external relationships and delivering commercial results.

Strong commercial, financial and analytical skills, with the ability to turn data and insight into actionable plans and recommendations.

Excellent relationship-building, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to work across multiple teams and senior stakeholders.

Experience developing and delivering trading, promotional or growth plans that drive customer and commercial performance.

Strong negotiation, prioritisation and project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

A strategic and customer-focused mindset, with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.

The ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and deliver results in a dynamic, evolving business environment.

Experience within grocery, retail, digital commerce, marketplaces or partner-led business models would be beneficial.

Experience launching new partnerships, propositions or growth initiatives is desirable.
