Full job description

Job Overview

We are looking for a full time accounts assistant to join our team here in Sandyford, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

We are a busy small practice dealing with a wide diverse portfolio of clients, with client care being at the forefront of everything that we do.

We pride ourselves in training individuals and encouraging ambition to expand both your professional and personal development.

Duties

The role will be to support many of our client's reporting requirements, which will involve nurturing professional hands on relationships with clients from the outset.

The role within our outsourcing team will primarily be involved in:

maintaining client accounting records and reconciliations on various software platforms.
Preparation of VAT returns
Preparation of CIS returns
Preparation of management information for clients
Occasionally may be required to travel locally to clients
Assisting clients with adhoc day to day queries
Assistance with preparation of accounts to trial balance

Experience

Previous experience of working within an accountancy practice would be preferable with the ability to use software such as Sage, Xero, Quickbooks, or similar.

These skills are essential for the role:

Drive and ambition to achieve the tasks ahead
Strong communicator
Willingness to work both independently and as part of a team

Pay: £27,500.00-£32,000.00 per year
