Full job description

We’re looking for a Seasonal Farm Saved Seed (FSS) Assistant to join our team for the remainder of the 2026 harvest season.

This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience within agriculture, working outdoors and travelling to farms across Andover, Grateley and the surrounding area. You’ll work alongside an experienced team, supporting the operation of specialist agricultural machinery used to prepare farm saved seed for the upcoming drilling season.

What is Farm Saved Seed?

Farm Saved Seed (FSS) is the area of our business that helps farmers clean, treat and prepare their seed ahead of each drilling season.

At Agrii, we process over 50,000 tonnes of seed every year, using a modern fleet of high-capacity mobile machinery.

In this role, you will:

Assist with the set-up and operation of mobile machinery on farms
Help clean, treat and process farm saved seed
Travel between farms across the local area
Support the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks
Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping
Carry out additional duties as required to support the successful delivery of the FSS operation

This is practical, physical work — ideal for someone who enjoys being outdoors, wants to get hands-on with agricultural machinery and is looking for valuable experience during one of the busiest periods of the farming calendar.

What you’ll need:

A full UK driving licence
An enthusiasm for farming and agriculture
A willingness to work outdoors in a range of weather conditions
Comfortable carrying out physical and manual work
Flexibility to work longer hours and additional days when required
A reliable, practical and willing attitude
No previous experience in Farm Saved Seed is required — full training will be provided

Pay: National Minimum Wage, with the applicable rate determined by age. Additional hours and overtime will be paid in accordance with Agrii’s terms and conditions.
