Singing / Piano Tutor Required – Wigan
We are a well-established private music school based in Shevington, Wigan, and are currently looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Singing and/or Piano Tutor to join our team of professional tutors.
Due to continued demand, we are looking to expand our current singing and piano tuition. Ideally, we would like to hear from tutors who are able to teach both singing and piano, although we would also be very interested in experienced tutors who specialise primarily in one of these areas but are comfortable teaching the other.
Lessons are taught one-to-one in 30-minute sessions at our Wigan premises, with students ranging from complete beginners through to more experienced players and singers, and covering a wide range of ages.
There are no specific days fixed at present, so there is some flexibility depending on the availability of the right candidate. We are looking to establish an additional teaching day or days and build up a regular student base.
Previous teaching experience is preferred, particularly experience of:
- Teaching students of different ages and abilities in a one-to-one environment
- Preparing students for recognised grades such as ABRSM, Rockschool, etc
- Teaching contemporary and/or traditional styles
- Providing friendly, engaging and structured lessons tailored to individual students
Relevant music qualifications and previous teaching experience would be an advantage.
The position would ideally suit someone local to the Wigan area, and having your own transport/full UK driving licence would be beneficial.
