About the role

Job Description – Hygiene Operative

We are looking for a dedicated Hygiene Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across equipment and production areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and sanitise production equipment and workspaces in accordance to hygiene schedules.
Follow cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations.
Participate in the routine cleaning of the equipment and machinery within the production facility, which will include some manual handling and lifting to ensure production equipment is thoroughly cleaned.
Safe handling of chemicals.
Completion of records in a timely manner.
Work with other team members to maintain a clean and organised environment.
Assist with the recycling process by operating recycling equipment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cleaning role and in a production environment is advantageous. (preferred but not essential).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good understanding of hygiene and safety standards.
Attention to detail and hands on approach.
Reliable and punctual.
