Elite Children's Care Group is a provider supporting children and young people with Autism and Learning Disabilities, including complex communication, sensory, and behavioural needs and who have experienced significant trauma. The Role

As an addition to the training team you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering engaging, person-centred training across our services. From induction to refresher sessions, you’ll ensure our teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide outstanding care.

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced qualified Learning and Development Trainer to join our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programmes that enhance employee skills and organisational growth. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise a broad range of training tools and methodologies, supporting our commitment to continuous professional development. The ideal applicant will possess strong communication skills, expertise in various learning platforms, and a passion for mentoring others to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

Supporting each of the homes ensuring alignment with internal quality standards and the requirements of the organisation
Oversee the implementation and evaluation of training needs analyses, using findings to design L&D programmes that meet internal and external priorities.
Designing and implementing innovative development pathways that deliver measurable impact and support staff in achieving organisational priorities.
Contribute to the design, delivery, and the continuous review of a comprehensive learning and development programme.
Develop role-specific learning pathways tailored to the needs of diverse staff teams.
Design and rolling out a comprehensive leadership training program to improve team management, communication and decision-making skills.
Leading the ongoing improvement of training programmes, ensuring their relevance, impact, and alignment with organisational goals.
Develop processes to evaluate training impact, including return on investment (ROI) and return on expectation (ROE).
Facilitating a variety of learning methods including face-to-face, group sessions, blended learning, and digital training formats.
Develop engaging training programmes tailored to organisational needs, utilising tools such as Adobe Captivate and SharePoint.
Deliver training sessions across multiple formats, including virtual and in-person workshops, ensuring clarity and effectiveness.
Assess training effectiveness through feedback, evaluations, and performance metrics, adjusting programmes accordingly.
Collaborate with Human Resources and management teams to identify skill gaps and create targeted learning solutions.
Maintain accurate records of training activities within our platforms
Mentor employees through coaching sessions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
Keep up-to-date with industry best practices, e-learning technologies, and organisational development trends.
Support the onboarding process by delivering initial training to new hires and facilitating ongoing development initiatives.
Deliver classroom and on-site compliance training
Design and update training materials and e-learning content
Support training administration and evaluate training effectiveness
Champion our values and promote a culture of continuous learning
Providing Face to Face Trainings such as First Aid, Medication etc (Train the Trainer training will be provided

Experience

Proven experience in designing and delivering corporate training programmes using platforms like Adobe Captivate and SharePoint.
Strong background in teaching or facilitation within a corporate or educational environment.
Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) for tracking learning activities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
Experience mentoring or coaching employees at various levels within an organisation.
Knowledge of HR processes, including talent development, onboarding, and performance management systems like HRIS tools.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Confident public speaker and training facilitator
Awareness of different learning styles
Proficient in office management software, including Microsoft Office

Experience with with Ofsted or CQC would be an advantage
Previous qualifications as a Train the Trainer

1. Knowledge

In-depth understanding of good practice, current legislation, and policy trends in Health and Social Care, particularly within children’s residential services. - Essential
Expertise in mandatory training subjects relevant to residential care. - Essential
Familiarity with a range of approaches to learning activities and best practices in L&D. - Essential

2. Education, training and qualifications

Relevant qualifications within the mandatory subject area. - Essential
Training/teaching qualification. - Desirable
Strong numeracy, literacy and IT skills. - Essential
Must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle. - Essential

3. Experience

Previous experience as a trainer - Desirable
Proven experience within the care sector - Essential
Experience of managing and allocating resources effectively. - Desirable
Administrative experience e.g. report and letter writing, keeping electronic/paper records, organisation, etc. - Essential

4. Communication

Must possess strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of people in various settings - Essential
