Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a self-employed Painter and Decorator to deliver high-quality painting and decorating services for residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. A valid driving licence is essential for accessing various sites.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming to ensure a smooth finish
Apply paints, varnishes, , and other finishes with
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide professional advice
Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
Transport tools, materials, and equipment to different sites using your own vehicle
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or related trades
Valid driving licence with reliable vehicle access
Fluency in English, with strong communication skills to liaise with clients and suppliers
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to painting and decorating work

This role provides the flexibility of self-employment while allowing you to showcase your craftsmanship across a variety of projects. Applicants should be organised, professional, and committed to delivering excellent results.

Pay: £15.00-£19.00 per hour
