Job Overview

We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Bus/Coach Mechanics to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of buses and coaches to ensure safe, reliable transportation services. Your expertise will keep our vehicles operating smoothly and efficiently, contributing to a positive experience for our passengers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of heavy-duty equipment and develop your skills in vehicle fabrication, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs.

Duties

Perform comprehensive inspections of buses and coaches, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.
Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to restore vehicles to optimal condition.
Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components effectively.
Solder electrical connections and replace faulty wiring or components to ensure safety compliance.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used for each vehicle.
Assist with the assembly or modification of vehicle parts or accessories as needed.
Operate heavy machinery such as excavators and forklifts safely during repair or maintenance tasks.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies while providing excellent customer service to internal teams or external clients.

Qualifications

Proven experience in vehicle repair, fabrication, welding, electrical work, or related fields within heavy-duty vehicle maintenance.
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for electrical systems and mechanical assemblies.
Electrical experience including soldering, wiring repairs, and troubleshooting complex circuits.
Physical capability for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and working in various environmental conditions.
Familiarity with operating equipment such as excavators and forklifts is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Customer service orientation with clear communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues or clients.
