Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high standards of hygiene and organisation within the clinic. Duties

Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterile.
Provide excellent patient care by offering reassurance, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit.
Maintain strict hygiene standards by sterilising instruments and ensuring the treatment area is clean and organised.
Record patient information accurately using IT systems, including treatment notes and medical histories.
Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling correspondence.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times within the practice.
Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth operations.
Assist with stock management, including ordering supplies and checking inventory levels.

Experience

Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Knowledge of patient care principles and nursing practices relevant to dental healthcare.
Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills to interact confidently with patients and team members.
Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment scheduling.
Organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills to provide compassionate support to patients of all ages.
