Full job description

We have an excellent career opportunity for the role of Care Assistant to join our team here at Kirklands Care based at our Kirklands Care Home in Cockermouth.

Pay: We have an excellent pay rate of 13.30 an hour.

Hours: 18 – 36 hours per week (Day shifts)

Contracts available: 18 hours / 24 hours/ 30 hours/ 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, maintaining accurate records.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on care.
Support mobility and personal hygiene, promoting independence where possible.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Kirklands Care Home – is a purpose-built care home nestled in the heart of the beautiful Lake District within the market town of Cockermouth.

Our bright, modern home has everything needed to provide the highest levels of care to residents, while maintaining a warm, comfortable and homely atmosphere that puts you at ease the moment that you arrive.

Our ideal candidates

Level 2 in Health and social care preferred but not essential, but must be willing to work towards
Willingness to learn and develop your skills
Dedicated to providing our residents with a high standard of care and support is essential
Good interpersonal skills and a caring nature
A desire to genuinely help other people and make a difference
Good communication and listening skills are essential
Good work ethic
Be able to work on your own but also as part of a team
Be able to work effectively with colleagues and Line Managers
Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
Willingness to support home in covering extra shifts when needed
