Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining tyres on a variety of vehicles. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills within a fast-paced environment, ensuring customer safety and satisfaction through high-quality service.

Duties

Remove and replace tyres using appropriate hand and power tools
Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and proper tread depth
Balance tyres to ensure smooth vehicle operation
Perform tyre repairs such as patching or plugging punctures
Assist with wheel alignment and rotation tasks as required
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety standards
Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot tyre-related issues effectively
Operate heavy lifting equipment safely for manoeuvring tyres and wheels of various sizes

Skills

Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of tyre systems and vehicle components
Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers
Experience with power tools including pneumatic guns and drills is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, handling tyres and wheels of substantial weight
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for quality control
Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
Ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding environment while maintaining safety standards
