Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our accounting & finance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial data entry. Your proactive approach and keen eye for detail will help streamline processes, maintain compliance, and contribute to the efficient functioning of our department. This role would suit someone who is organised, detail orientated and thorough.
Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate data entry for accounts payable, receivable, and other financial transactions using Sage and Magento.
- Assist with processing supplier invoices, expenses, and payments while ensuring timely and accurate recording of all transactions.
- Support month-end closing activities.
- Maintain organized records of financial documents and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other members of staff to review discrepancies, resolve invoice issues, and improve data accuracy.
- Manage supplier communications related to payments and account enquiries efficiently.
Hours: Part-time – 24 hours per week, Wednesday to Friday or Thursday to Saturday
Academic & Trades qualifications:
English Language GCSE C/5 & above or equivalent pass
Mathematics GCSE C/5 & above or equivalent pass
Desirable skills:
· Computer literate, a good understanding of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
· Previous experience in Sage and Magento would be advantageous.
· Good communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and team members
· Basic understanding of accounting principles.
· Reasonably quick with mathematics.
Performance review period/Probationary period: Six - Nine Months
Pay: £13.45 per hour
