Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and professional Compound Receptionist / Administrator to cover maternity leave. This role involves managing front desk operations, providing administrative support, and ensuring smooth communication within the organisation.

Responsibilities

Supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the depot reception and compound administration
Handling high volumes of incoming telephone calls and enquiries
Liaising with customers, Police Authorities, and partner organisations
Ensuring company procedures and legislative requirements are followed
Processing documentation accurately and efficiently
Maintaining clear and professional communication with customers and colleagues
Ensuring all information is processed in accordance with GDPR and company data protection policies
Assisting with general depot administrative duties as required

Experience

Previous office experience is essential, ideally within an administrative or reception role.
Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook),
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records.
Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
Strong organisation and prioritisation abilities
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude with the ability to work as part of a team

Additional Requirements

Must be able to pass Police National Vetting (essential due to contract requirements)
Transport required as initial training will take place at our St Helens depot

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to utilise their administrative expertise in a supportive environment during a temporary maternity cover period. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate professionalism, efficiency, and a proactive approach to their responsibilities.

Pay: Up to £12.50 per hour
