Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Self Employed Courier to join our dynamic delivery team. As a courier operating on a self-employed basis, you will be responsible for efficiently transporting packages, documents, and goods across designated routes. This role offers flexibility and independence, allowing you to manage your own schedule while ensuring timely and professional deliveries. Your focus will be on providing excellent customer service, handling various types of cargo, and maintaining safety standards throughout your routes. Responsibilities

Safely load, unload, and secure packages using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
Drive commercial vehicles or other suitable transport modes with manual or automatic transmissions, following assigned routes efficiently
Ensure accurate delivery of goods to customers’ locations while maintaining professionalism and positive communication
Manage route driving schedules to optimize delivery times and customer satisfaction
Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after each shift to guarantee safety and compliance with transportation regulations
Handle heavy lifting tasks associated with moving packages or equipment in warehouse or delivery settings
Maintain detailed records of deliveries, pickups, and any incidents during routes for accountability and reporting purposes

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with knowledge of route planning and navigation tools
Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with clients during deliveries
Warehouse experience is advantageous for handling loading/unloading tasks efficiently
Ability to operate commercial vehicles with manual transmission proficiency
Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques, moving procedures, and equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks
Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws
Physical stamina for manual lifting, moving heavy items, and extended periods of driving
