About the Role
As a Field Care Supervisor, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care across multiple supported living services within your designated area. Working across a number of locations, you will support Service Managers and frontline teams to ensure people receive safe, consistent, and outstanding support while promoting independence and positive outcomes.
You will lead by example and ensure all practices are carried out in line with internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory standards, including those set by the local authority and the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Working closely with Service Managers, you will support the safe and effective running of services while providing guidance, supervision, and ongoing support to Support Workers, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained across all services within your portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Scheme Manager in the day-to-day delivery of high-quality, person-centred care services across multiple supported living schemes
- Provide operational leadership across a portfolio of services, travelling between locations to monitor quality, coach teams, and ensure consistent standards of care
- Supervise, motivate, and provide guidance to Support Workers, promoting a positive and professional team culture
- Lead by example in delivering trauma-informed, co-produced, and person-centred support in line with organisational values
- Coordinate staff rotas and staffing levels to ensure safe, effective, and consistent service delivery
- Assist with recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisals, and ongoing development of frontline staff
- Ensure service users receive safe and effective support with personal care, medication, tenancy management, health appointments, and daily living activities
- Support the development, review, and implementation of care plans, risk assessments, and incident management processes.
- Maintain compliance with afeguarding, health and safety, infection control, and regulatory standards, including those set by the Care Quality Commission.
- Maintain accurate records, care documentation, KPI monitoring, and digital systems in line with organisational and legal requirements
- Carry out regular service visits, observations, audits and spot checks across multiple locations to drive continuous improvement and maintain quality standards
- Build effective relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and external professionals while supporting crisis response, service improvements, and participating in the out-of-hours on-call rota where required
Our Ideal Candidate
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support, and develop teams in a fast-paced care environment
- Has previous experience supervising or leading teams within supported living, residential care, or domiciliary care services
- Has experience delivering high-quality, person-centred care and supporting individuals with diverse and complex needs
- Possesses a sound understanding of safeguarding, medication management, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements including standards set by the Care Quality Commission
- Communicates effectively and builds positive working relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and external professionals
- Is organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities, staffing challenges, and day-to-day operational responsibilities across multiple services
- Shows compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to promoting independence, dignity, inclusion, and positive outcomes for the people we support
- Holds a full UK Driving Licence and has access to a vehicle, with the ability to travel regularly between multiple service locations
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
