Want to play a key role in supporting a bold period of change at one of the North’s leading museums?

Tullie is looking for an AAT-qualified Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team at an exciting time in our development as we deliver Project Tullie - an ambitious capital programme transforming the museum and its role at the heart of Carlisle.

Based in the city centre, Tullie is one of Carlisle’s key cultural organisations, playing an important role in the city’s heritage, visitor economy and civic life. This is a varied and important finance role within a small, friendly team, supporting both the day-to-day financial operations and the wider strategic development of the organisation.

This role would also suit someone looking to develop their career into charity and museum finance, gaining exposure to a wide range of financial processes including trading income, VAT, Gift Aid and audit requirements.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

· Processing sales and purchase invoices using Sage 200

· Maintaining sales and purchase ledger records and preparing supplier payment runs

· Reconciling bank accounts, income streams and balance sheet accounts

· Supporting payroll administration, including payroll submissions and reconciliations

· Assisting with month-end processes, budget monitoring and financial reporting

· Reconciling income from visitor services and commercial activity

· Supporting VAT returns, Gift Aid processes, audit preparation and financial compliance

· Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting improvements to financial systems and processes

Pay: £28,496.00-£31,569.00 per year
