Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working closely with students, providing personalised instruction, and fostering a supportive learning environment. The Tutor will not be responsible for developing tailored lesson plans; they will be provided by the academy.

Responsibilities

Assess students' learning styles and academic needs to create effective tutoring strategies.
Provide small group tutoring sessions in a specific subject, ensuring clarity and understanding.
Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary to enhance learning outcomes.
Create termly reports regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and motivation in students.

Skills

Confidence working with children in an educational setting is essential.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and parents.
Knowledge of special education strategies and techniques is highly desirable.
Ability to educate and inspire students, adapting teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically.
Strong organisational skills to manage lesson plans, schedules, and student assessments efficiently.
