Job Summary

Exciting new venue opening soon in Carlisle, undergoing current refurbishment with a view to open in the next 3 weeks.

We are seeking a Creative and experienced Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to join our team and help bring out exciting food concept to life.

If you love creating tapas, street food, loaded burgers and fries, sharing plates and great quality comfort food, we'd love to hear from you.

Duties

Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
Manage and motivate the culinary team through effective team management and leadership, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
Oversee food safety protocols and sanitation standards to maintain compliance with health regulations and ensure guest safety.
Coordinate food production schedules, inventory management, and ordering to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to guest preferences.
Train staff on proper food handling, preparation techniques, and serving procedures to uphold quality standards.
Monitor kitchen performance metrics, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvements to enhance overall service quality.

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment with strong team management skills.
Extensive culinary experience with a solid background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for sanitation and hygiene.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and develop staff effectively.
Hands-on experience in food production, menu development, and restaurant service.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Strong communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with staff and management teams.
